The Alaskan Sky
The sky is more impressive in interior Alaska than anywhere else I've lived. It's rarely a monotonous gray or even blue; there's always some interesting configuration of clouds. Many winter nights bring green and red northern lights, while winter days and summer nights offer back-to-back sunrises and sunsets lasting for many hours.
